When does my benefit coverage begin?

Coverage generally becomes available after you satisfy Ascen’s eligibility waiting period. Eligible employees have a 30-day waiting period from their date of hire before benefits can become effective. You must also be actively at work for coverage to take effect.
Weekly coverages become effective on the Sunday following the date the employee satisfies the 30-day employment eligibility requirement.
Monthly coverages become effective on the first day of the month following the date the employee satisfies the 30-day employment eligibility requirement.
